Friday Sept. 16, 2011
7:30 P.M. Sternwheel Room at the Lafayette. Informal get together with showing of the video "Saving the Snyder". Come meet friends old and new and gather to learn "what's new" in S&D and with friends. Cash bar available in the Sternwheel Room at the hotel. Members usually have models, books, historic papers, etc. available for viewing in the Sternwheel Room.

9:30 A.M. Sternwheel Room at the Lafayette. Annual meeting of the Board of Governors and presentations of S&D chapters. This is also the time when various groups associated with S&D give their reports: J. Mack Gamble Fund Chairman, Pott and Inland Rivers Libraries, etc. The general election of Officers and Board members is held at this meeting. All who are members of S&D are eligible to vote.
This year the Nominating Committee is comprised of Barb Hameister. Please get your nominations for Officers or Board members to one of these members for inclusion on the ballot.
12:00 NOON Lunch at the Lafayette. Chicken salad sandwich, chips, fruit, cookie, and beverage - cost $8.75 per person. Captain Bill Barr will give a presentation on modern river commerce following the luncheon.
Afternoon - free time. Be sure to visit the River Museum and see photo exhibition on 1884 Flood. Keep in mind this is the 70th Anniversary of museum opening.
6:30 P.M. Banquet in Sternwheel Room - This year's menu: prime rib $27, salmon $26, and chicken $22. Includes salad, potatoes, vegetable, dessert, coffee, and tea. After the dinner, Captain Bob Reynolds will present an informal talk entitled "High Water, Hard Water", with a general question and answer session.
